Copyright / DMCA Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
1. Our policy
Cardvoo respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the service to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. §512.
2. What this covers
This applies to any user-uploaded or user-generated content stored by Cardvoo, including public decks and public tutors (visible on Explore, including a tutor's name, description and instructions), notes and their extracted text uploaded for study guides (kept privately with the deck), and generated study guides themselves.
3. Designated DMCA Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our Designated Agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (registration DMCA-1080956). Cardvoo is operated by Bleart Emini, a sole proprietor; if Cardvoo moves to a company we will update the registration and this page, and a notice sent to the agent below in the meantime will still be handled:
Bleart Emini
Cardvoo
200 Greenville St Ste C
Newnan, GA 30263
United States
Phone: (678) 675-6808
Email: [email protected]
The agent's details are also listed in the U.S. Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory (search "Cardvoo").
4. How to submit a takedown notice
To be effective, a notice must be in writing (email is fine) and include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the deck or guide URL, or the deck name and owner if it's private content described to us).
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Notices that don't substantially comply with these requirements may not receive a response.
5. What happens after a valid notice
- We remove or disable access to the identified material — for a public deck, we unpublish it; for study-guide source material, we remove the SourceNote and any guide content generated from it.
- We notify the user who posted the material that it was removed and why.
- We may terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
6. Counter-notification
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent above that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Cardvoo may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may reinstate the material within 10–14 business days unless the original notifying party files a court action seeking to restrain the user from engaging in the infringing activity.
7. Repeat infringer policy
Consistent with our Terms of Service strikes system, accounts subject to multiple valid, unrebutted infringement notices may be suspended or permanently banned.
